Three Oaks Manor is a popular nearby event venue with the familiar greenhouse vibe my clients already love! With uniquely designed elements including spring decor and well-planned lighting, it is tailored specifically for photography sessions. This venue is located in Madison Heights, VA, between Boonsboro and Sweet Briar College, approximately 30 minutes north from the studio.

What is a Mini Session?
Fast, Fun, And done!
A Spring Mini Session is a condensed photo shoot, perfect for when you are hoping for a few specific captures. These sessions are designed to provide you with a quick glimpse into your life during this season.
They are typically 15-20 minutes in length and include as much variety as possible in that short amount of time.
Why Book A Mini Session?
Our Spring Family Mini Sessions are fast, fun, and affordable! Starting at only $300 for a twenty minute session, which includes at least 20 high resolution digital images from the session, they are a great value!
These sessions are perfect for families looking for a short, simple and sweet photoshoot. They are limited and typically sell out, so please be prepared when they open for booking!
Possible Add-On: Double Your Images! Add-on another 20+ images to your final gallery for only $149!
How It Works
Choose the location, date and time that works best for you.
Proceed to checkout to pay your session retainer fee. (Final balance is due in full one week before your session date.)
Receive your Client Preparation Guide and session time slot confirmation through email.
Meet for the session! (Plan to arrive 10 minutes early!)
Receive an online gallery of images within 2-3 weeks of your session.
Optional: Use your online gallery to order prints for your home. Prices are competitive to other online print locations (no crazy up-charges!) and you will receive the highest quality prints possible from your images.

where do you suggest we print our pictures?
We highly recommend ordering your prints directly from your online gallery to guarantee the best color and quality of prints! The prices are competitive to online ordering locations and the printer is one of the best printing companies in the nation. Your online gallery is the only place we can promise you will receive accurate color profiles and archival quality prints from your digital files provided by Liz.
do you give full rights to all of the images?
You will receive a link to download all of your images as well as a Limited Print Release form to use when you print your pictures. A Limited Print Release allows you to download all of the pictures and print them at your preferred print location. However, please note that printing your pictures at other locations may not provide the best color or print quality available. Liz Cook Photography is not responsible for poor prints from printing at outside locations. Liz Cook Photography will retain the full Copyrights which means you are not permitted to alter/edit the images, sell them, or submit them to any publications or contests without prior written approval from Liz Cook Photography.
what should we wear for these pictures?
You will receive your Exclusive Client Preparation Guide at the time of booking which includes wardrobe guidance. We recommend choosing comfortable, neutral clothing (as seen in the images above) for the most timeless look to your portraits.
i am afraid 20 minutes won’t be long enough for my family. can we extend the time?
The rates for our 2025 Spring Mini Sessions are good for our 20 minute mini sessions only. If you think you may need more time (if you want to include extended family members or have a young child who takes a little while to warm up), we recommend you book a Full Signature Session. your website says you are fully booked, is there anything we can do?
We typically sell out every year. We have a cap on our spots, and once this cap is reached, the calendar will close. If you missed out on booking, please e-mail us to join the waitlist. Sometimes we have a family needs to cancel at the last minute and they need to sell their spot. In this case we will go down our waiting list to offer the opening first come, first serve. Email liz@liz-cook.com to be added to our waitlist.
