Ashley & Emmie

Mommy & Me Mini Session

Ashley Eiban and her family are super special to our family. Ashley was Sunday's day care provider during her toddler years. Ashley's daughter, Emmie, is just five days older than Sunday and they basically learned to talk with each other! Hah. :) I had a lovely time capturing Ashley and Emmie and their irreplaceable bond this past weekend. Below are a few of my favorite images I was able to capture during our time together.

Aren't they the sweetest?! They were such great sports to snuggle up in the cold in front of my camera! I can't wait to have more mamas and babies in front of my camera in just a few weeks!

Liz is a wedding and birth photographer in Central Virginia. She loves to photograph fun and easygoing couples in love as well as emotional and discreet birth stories and just about anything in-between

A Lynchburg Family Session | In The Studio

When Amelia first contacted me about photographing her family, I was right in the middle of my brand re-launch. I still had a lot of things to get in order and my studio wardrobe was not nearly complete! (Truth: It will always be growing!) But Amelia wasn't deterred one bit. She came in for a studio tour, she returned with her family soon after, and then she came back again for her portrait reveal session! I absolutely LOVED getting to meet and talk with her and her family so much.

As an artist, something about having the time and opportunities to really invest myself into relationships with my clients always turns out some of my best work. But if I'm being honest - should that even surprise anyone? I don't think so. Artists produce their best work when they are emotionally invested in it. That realization was the driving motivation behind my entire re-brand this past summer. I know, now, how pertinent it is that I have the opportunity to know and feel comfortable with my clients before they get in front of my camera. And the same with them!!

Here are a few of my favorites from my time with the S family. I loved capturing their sweet girl and all the little bits of her personality!

Aren't they such an adorable family!? If you would like to schedule a time to come see the studio (absolutely NO obligation to book!), contact me and we can set that up right away! :)

The Morgan Family | Lynchburg Family Photographer

This family!!!! Oh my goodness they were so much fun to photograph! Little Max is inquisitive and energetic, and (as you will see) the most perfect blue-eyed model!! There is so much love between the three of these guys that I had a BALL photographing them together!

We did their session at The Garden, an exclusive location I am able to offer all Liz Cook Photography clients. I LOVE shooting here... my spirit sings (I mean... more like I am ridiculously giddy!!) the entire time I'm shooting... the bright green backdrop (my favorite color!!) , sprinkled with bits of glowing sunshine... and then combining this beautiful setting with an equally as beautiful family (inside and out)?! It is like hitting the session jackpot! I love the way their images came out!

Enjoy viewing the joy that exudes from this family!

Thank you to Teresa from Glencliff Manor for being so generous with her property!

A Farmville Maternity Session | Ben & Katie

A Farmville Maternity Session | Ben & Katie

Oh my heart. I don't even know where to begin with these two. Ben is the younger brother of one of my amazing college roommates, Mollie. While I paid my way through college, I took a few semesters off here and there so I could work and save more money for school. During one break, I actually lived in the most adorable farm house in (the real) Farmville, VA and I would have to walk through Ben's room every day to access my little attic room. It was so dreamy waking up to a blanket of glowing fog as the sun rose over the farm every morning.

Fall Family Portraits Re-cap | Lynchburg Family Photographer

I know "the season" is nearing the end when I have a whole day to do absolutely nothing at all. And that's exactly what happened yesterday. All three of us stayed home all day in our PJs and watched football, worked on 2014 business plans, and even ordered pizza for dinner. It was glorious!
