Client Appreciation Event
This past weekend was my 2nd Annual Celebrate Motherhood Client Appreciation event located here at our photography studio in Forest, Virginia. My heart is so full as I look back at the pictures from this event! What started as a fun marketing idea to help get the word out about my business, I quickly realized was an opportunity to celebrate and honor the mothers in my community as well as thank my clients for their support of my business.
Clients who came were greeted with a drink and an offer to help themselves to the buffet of food, treated to a tiny portrait session with their little (and big!) babies, able to access and wear items from the studio wardrobe for their session, and entered into a drawing to win a prize from the prize table. We all enjoyed great conversation and I even got a few whispers of some secret pregnancy announcements! It was so much fun!
This is an event I am SO looking forward to continuing each year!
When I look at the pictures below, I see a community of supportive and loving women; I see women whom I know have been cheering one another on through the joys and challenges of life. I see friends and children honoring the memory of loved ones who were here last year but were no longer with us this year. I am reminded of the tears of appreciation and empathy as stories of motherhood and life adventures are passed around. I think about the secret pregnancy announcements that were shared and the silent glimpses of support that were passed as mamas wrangle toddlers for "just one photo."
There are so many beautiful layers to this community of women I have the privilege to serve and it was an honor to see and talk with each and every client that came into the studio on a lovely Saturday in May. For those of you who couldn't be here - you were dearly missed!
