Ben & Annie: New Orleans Wedding Photography

Internet, meet Annie. We have been friends for over 10 years and I absolutely adore her. I actually met her online, when we were both still in college. We have spent countless hours chatting online through AIM (remember the days?!) and these days through Facebook chat. We've shared vacations in Cape Cod, Tampa, NYC and even a bit of touring in Washington DC. I have had the honor of attending her college graduation, her flight school graduation (did I mention she's a pilot in the Air Force?!), and now her wedding! Annie is one of the most driven and successful people I know. At the same time, she was always my down-to-earth, most-practical friend. She taught me a lot during some of the most formative years of my life. I will always cherish our friendship!

So, of course, when she contacted me about flying out to shoot her wedding I was over-the-moon excited! A front row seat to her wedding day?! Yes please! And THEN when she decided on a location and told me the wedding would be in New Orleans I was even more excited - as if that were possible! New Orleans is my favorite vacation spot in the United States, hands down. I love the city vibe, but I also love that there's no denying it's the south. New Orleans locals are some of the nicest city dwellers I've ever had the pleasure of crossing paths with. The area is full of arts, music, and so much culture. It's so much more than just Bourbon Street!

Aside from actually getting married of course, Annie's main focus while planning her wedding weekend was creating a wonderful New Orleans experience for her guests. (Another reason I adore her!) She passed on a lot of the trendy, time-consuming details of wedding planning to focus on coordinating trolly rides and finding the area's finest cuisine to be served at her reception dinner. The ceremony was held at the Peristyle in New Orleans City Park, followed by a reception at the award-winning Restaurant August. Guests wrapped the night up at DBA bar on Frenchman Street listening to live music and toasting to the new couple. It was a picture perfect New Orleans destination wedding experience!

Annie and Ben, thank you for inviting us to be a part of your wedding weekend! It was an absolutely beautiful event I will never forget. <3 Love you guys!!
