When Jessica and I spoke over the phone for her consultation, I could tell she appreciated and was really excited about the full experience I offer my clients! As a new mama and a photographer herself, she definitely understands the hard work that goes into our final product and I know she was ready to feel pampered and relaxed! When you’re a photographer being photographed by someone you trust, it can be so nice to not have to worry about all the details involved. Needless to say, it was an honor to be able to take care of Jessica, Colby and Baby Brayden while they were here in my studio.
Reagan's Newborn Session
On occasion I will hear from a mom who has experienced something all mamas do: a sudden urge to freeze time as soon as humanly possible in the form of professional pictures. This mama will reach out to me and and asks me to squeeze her into my schedule right away. If I can, I do. And if I can’t, I offer my next available date!
Sweet Baby Arabella's Newborn Session
This little sweet pea came earlier than her everyone expected and she was a teeny little thing! I had such a lovely time both snuggling her and of course photographing her. I don’t always get to snuggle babies if they arrive asleep and ready for their close-up. Usually I just scoop them right onto the beanbag and get to work! But if they are awake I get to have some snuggles while I try to put them back to sleep and I love those opportunities!
Meet Charis - the New Studio Assistant!
If you follow me on Instagram, you probably have seen way too many photos of this girl and this blog post is not news to you. BUT, instagram is really the only place I’ve shared much about our newest family member, Charis. (Well there was that one night she went missing and I posted on Facebook for help finding her and the post was shared over 1k times… whaaaat? And we DID find her!)
So for those of you who haven’t been formally introduced…
Meet Charis!
Reese's Newborn Session at The Studio
Oh I adore this family newborn shoot!
When Whitney first inquired, she shared with me that she had a challenging experience for their oldest’s newborn session years earlier. While I am always on a mission to ease any stress my clients may have, I was really focused on this for Whitney’s sake. I know even the thought of planning for and arriving to the session was causing her noticeable stress and I don’t feel it should ever be that way for anyone! I work hard to create a calm and relaxing environment by thinking about all the elements of your shoot before you do and having as many solutions lined up as possible.
