What a whirlwind! Lauren contacted me less than a month ago and we got together for a yummy lunch and lots of talking about a week later. She is a photographer herself and it is such an honor when another artist with a discerning eye trusts you to capture such an important time in their life!
I don't usually book "on the spot," I typically encourage brides to take their time and really think hard about who they want to book as their photographer. It's so important that couples are comfortable with their photographer and trust them completely: to capture them in their most natural, joyful state, but also to help them FEEL their best in their most natural, joyful state. Lauren confessed during our consultation that she was 100% sure she was going to book me, so we jumped right into plans for her engagement session. 10 days later, we were climbing through tall grass and standing together in a cloud of smoke from a bonfire. Hah. Oh, the things photographers will do for great shots!
Here are a few of my favorite images from my time with Lauren and Ben. They were adorably sweet in front of the camera and seemed to feel comfortable right away. I love the way these came out!
