When Nicole reached out to me about possibly photographing her Fresh48 and Newborn sessions, I was honestly completely shocked! Nicole is an incredibly talented Fine Art Wedding Photographer who travels the world photographing weddings. She has a fine taste for all things: travel locations, home decor, quality clothing and materials and of course, photography. So to have her book me for pictures of her most favorite thing in the world (her sweet baby girl!) was just an absolute honor.
When I arrived at Roanoke Carilion Hospital, I found Nicole being pampered by the wonderful Madison with GlamHouse. Her hair had already been done by Charlotte Boxley with Rock Paper Beauty Lounge and she was just about ready to go! Sweet Natalie was relaxing under the blue lights, so we took our time to look at all of the items Nicole had available for the shoot. She had brought along with her to the hospital a variety of organic cotton wraps (some of our favorite brands are By George! and Pirates and Peonies!) and adorable head bands. We settled on one solid colored blanket and one pretty floral patterned blanket. I love the way they contributed to the overall feel of her first portraits!
