Letters to Sunday | 20 Months

Dear Baby Sunday,

My compassionate, expressive, and extremely affectionate daughter... can we even call you a baby anymore? You are so big... a real little girl now. Wanting this and that, not wanting this and that, bossing the dogs around, climbing all over things, giving kisses galore... You are so, so big. Stop it. Stop growing!

New Website and a Giveaway!

New Website and a Giveaway!

Hello and welcome to my brand new website!!

This is a long time coming. A long, roller coaster ride, if I'm being honest! (And I'm always being honest around here.) But I am absolutely thrilled with how my new website turned out! This is nowhere near the direction I thought I'd be headed when I started this project over 7 months ago, but through a string of events and creative ebbs and flows, here it is.

It's July!

And I survived wedding season! When I say survived, what I really mean is there were no breakdowns, I didn't get sick, and my husband still loves me! Yay! :) While things will be a little less hectic, there's still (always) a lot going on around here.

July is my birthday month! And I'm totally throwing myself a party this year because it's my big 3-0! So, in the next few weeks I will be wrapping up a handful of weddings, planning and executing my 30th birthday party, enjoying a family camping trip (finally, it's been over a year since I have gone camping - I think?!), and... dum dum dummm... launching my new website! I have been holding back posting here on the blog until the new website is up and running and we are just days away from the big launch. I'm so excited!

Thanks for not giving up on me! I have lots of plans for the coming months and I am really looking forward to diving back into writing... especially letters to my sweet girl. I've missed documenting her and she is getting so big so fast.

Speaking of my girl, she just woke up from her nap so I'm making this short!

Happy July...! One of my favorite months of the year! Be back so soon!

Gratituesday: Lots of work!

What's this? A Gratituesday post? Small steps, people. Small steps. :)

This week... I am popping in to express my gratitude for WORK. I am so, so grateful to my clients who trust me with big, important memories, as well as the small, every day moments. I love, LOVE my job and even though I am in the crux of "The Season," I am grateful for each and every chance I have to photograph people and deliver moments "captured in time." I know it's cliche, but how else can I say it??

This week I have a wedding, three sessions, a corporate event, and a photobooth all to shoot and process! Whew! I'm hoping to get a few more sessions up on the blog to share with you all soon as well.

<3 I hope you're having a fantastic week!! Here's a little glimpse into what I'm working on:

Sunday and Daddy | Lynchburg Family Portrait Photographer

There are a million and one things I could have been doing this morning between 5am and 7am... one of those things includes sleep, of course... but I was up and I wanted to finally blog these pictures I took about a month ago. We were having a super warm week and Sunday and I had been sitting outside waiting for Tommy to get home from work. The light was just right... Tommy was in his uniform... and Sunday was in just a diaper. Everything was perfect so I ran inside and grabbed my camera and captured some of my absolute favorite pictures of the two of them - ever. This is so them... she's such a little toddler now. One second she wants cuddles, the next she wants to get down and run around. She is growing so fast and we are absolutely enjoying her at this age. She's 17 months old now... wow. How time flies! I hope to get another letter to her written so soon to capture all the things she is saying and doing these days. Just like one day she decided to start walking... it seems as though she has just decided to start talking. She understands almost everything we say to her now - obviously I cannot have an adult conversation with her - but I speak in easy terms and she gets it. We've started tapping into the world of potty training by using key words now to identify what's going on. She is so smart and she catches on so fast. Anyway, I need to save all this stuff for her letter. :)

Here are the loves of my life...!
