Brent and Kayla | Lynchburg Engagement Photographer

Brent and Kayla are such a sweet couple... a quiet, classy duo who fit in perfectly with the classic feel of Downtown Lynchburg. A graphic design major and a criminal justice major found chemistry in a speech class. Hah - how's that for an overuse of college terms? :) "The teacher's pet," he called her. And her bashful response made it clear why he fell for her sweet spirit. I so enjoyed last Friday morning with these two as we explored downtown for their engagement session. The day was beautiful and Kayla and Brent were up for anything. The chemistry between them is ALL over these pictures, they made my job so easy! These are some of my favorite engagement pictures I've ever taken.

Brent and Kayla, I am so happy for you guys! I am looking forward to catching a glimpse of your beautiful Maine wedding next spring and hearing about the after-college job hunting adventures! (Psst, Kayla is currently interning with clutch this semester. Be sure to check out the next issue to see her gorgeous design work!)

Megan and Trevor - Top 10 | Northern Virginia Wedding Photographer

So we are starting something new! We're excited to start listing our Top 10 Favorite Things about each wedding we are invited to photograph. This is a fun way for us to talk about specific things we loved about the people and the entire event, while at the same time sharing some really fun wedding ideas for our future clients! We hope you enjoy reading these as much as we enjoyed coming up with them!

Top 10 Things we loved about the Megan & Trevor's Wedding:

10. The luxurious hotel suite the ladies got ready in...it was beautiful! Talk about feeling pampered!

9. The colors! It's always fun to know the colors the bride chooses for her big day. Megan went with a combination we had not seen before: teal and lime green. We LOVED them!

8. Speaking of colors...the Bridesmaids' bouquets were stunning. They were a small handful of lime green chrysanthemums with a base of magnolia leaves. Simple yet stunning. And ya'll know how I love keeping things simple!

7. The church was beautiful. So beautiful, in fact, that Trevor specifically asked his parents to join this church because he knew it was where he wanted to marry Megan. The best part of this little story? He asked them years ago. :)

6. Megan's get-away dress! Oh it was  so classic. The strapless, above the knee cocktail number couldn't have looked better on anyone else.

5. The awesome wedding and reception coordinators (the photo above is of the reception team). Between five different people, we had all the help we needed for the picture taking process to go as smoothly as possible. Plus we love that the ladies were there to lift any possible stress Megan had.

4. Megan's Dad is apparently quite the singer, and it didn't take too much encouragement to get him on the mic. He added the perfect touch to get the party going, and gave us some great entertainment!

3. Bag Pipes welcomed the guests as they arrived to the ceremony. There is something so peaceful, yet exciting about that sound as it meets your ears. It put a smile on everyone's face.

2. Trevor is a really funny guy. The mother/son dance was downright hilarious as Trevor threw in random moves just for the sake of, well, you know... being funny. :) And Mom, well, you could see the adoration beaming as her son shone on the dance floor.

1. The overall relaxed feeling of the day. Once the dress was on and the guests began to arrive, Megan was was nothing but ready. Ready to walk down that aisle, ready to commit to forever, ready to marry the man who loves her so. very. much. The whole day was such a joy!

Congratulations Trevor and Megan!

Joshua & Megan | King George Wedding Photographer

This was hands down the most unique wedding I have had the opportunity to shoot. These two were CLEARLY made for one another. I just love when two souls unite... and the love between Megan and Josh is absolutely undeniable. They were so, so adorable together. Look at this beautiful bride!

And her handsome groom.

Sneak Peek: Paul & Kimberly Pt. III | Northern Virginia Wedding Photographer

Just a few more images to help wrap up Paul and Kimberly's lovely wedding. Have I mentioned that their day was perfect? They got married the same weekend as my wedding anniversary, so I can't help but to feel a little giddy that their day was just as perfect as ours was. The weather in April is usually a lot like a lottery of nice-weather days, so that's a pretty exciting thing! What can I say? I love it when I find a special bond to share with my clients!! :)

Paul and Kimberly, thank you guys for being so incredibly easy to photograph!! Can you tell that we LOVED being there with you all on your big day? Well, just in case you missed it, we were honored to have been invited and had a truly fabulous time. Thank you so much for inviting us to be a part of your day. I wish you a lifetime of happiness! And... of course... I do hope to capture your love on camera again sometime. :)

Sneak Peek: Paul & Kimberly Pt. II | Northern Virginia Wedding Photographer

There was no way I could keep these amazing reception dance photos to myself. Paul and Kimberly had one of the most adorable first dances I have had the opportunity to witness. There were spins and dips and kisses galore. I couldn't choose my favorite, so instead, I am dedicating a whole blog entry to their first dance. Seriously, how cute are they?!

Oh, guys, this was far from the end of the evening. :) More to come!
