Lynchburg Baby Photographer A Sweet New Baby Girl

This beautiful mama contacted me a few weeks after her sweet little lady made her arrival. Even though I recommend clients book their newborn sessions before their baby is born, I always do my best to squeeze last minute bookings in when I can. And I am always so grateful when I do have space on the calendar! This sweet little lady was about six weeks old when I finally met her, and what a beauty she is!! Mama opted to have her hair and make-up done by our HMUA team and was able to nurse little L at the same time.

Aren't they a beautiful family?

Are you expecting and ready to book your newborn session? I am already reserving sessions as far out as August 2017. Newborn sessions are best scheduled between 8-21 days old during the hours of 10AM-2PM. If you have waited until the last minute, please contact me - if I am able to fit you in, I will! I don't want you to miss out on the opportunity to have this short and sweet season of life documented. Contact me today to reserve your session.

I had the honor of meeting this family for their maternity session back in October. Imagine how excited I was to receive an email from them about shooting their newborn session! I'll be honest, as we wrapped up their maternity session, I gave them a genuine recommendation to find a different photographer closer to home for their newborn session. Traveling 4 hours with a newborn can be challenging and I wanted to help them find beautiful images without having to make that trip.

But, they refused! :)

Mommy & Me Session

This mommy and me session photographed here in my studio near Lynchburg, VA reminded me why I do what I do. The connections captured in these images reignited my passion for this amazing work that I do and helped me reach my "click point" here in the new studio space. I can't wait to photograph more mamas and their babies together!

Both Jayna and Evan are wearing tops from the studio wardrobe which is available to all clients.

Enjoy a few of my favorite pictures from our time together in the studio!

When you take away distractions and simply let a baby be... the beauty of their personality and the connection they share with their people is enough to create the most beautiful art. I am in love!

Mama and baby clothing are both from the studio wardrobe. If you'd like for me to capture the genuine connection you share with your little one, please do not hesitate to get in touch!

As my birth photography business began really growing, I started receiving more and more requests for maternity, newborn, and baby portraits. I wanted to figure out a way I could streamline and systemize these types of sessions. I started looking at studio spaces outside of my home and let my imagination really run wild!

Fast forward a few months without many decisions made; Stephanie contacted me about shooting her newborn session. However, she mentioned that they were in the process of moving and they didn't have a space available to shoot in. I had to brainstorm - quick! I decided to give my own space a try, grabbing a few extra tools at the very last minute to help manipulate the light as best as I could.

It could be the beautiful model, the all-white room, or the understated dress she is wearing... or maybe it was simply the enthusiasm in the air that surrounded this whole experience... but this maternity session photographed at The Fount Workshop is, hands down, one of my favorites I have ever photographed. Watching Abany Bauer style this session left me so inspired and gave me more tools to use when approaching my own work, which I've already started to use.
